Diversity or decolonization? Searching for the tools to dismantle the ‘master’s house’

Our team collaborated in writing an article about their experience of working on the Inclusive curriculum project. The article, titled “Diversity or decolonization? Searching for the tools to dismantle the ‘master’s house’” appeared in the London Review of Education on the 9/6/2021.

The article illustrates how the methodology of the Inclusive Curriculum project goes beyond similar previous investigations into the coloniality and diversity of university curricula, to investigate the theoretical approaches, geographical examples and topics, as well as the diversity of authors in reading lists at the UCL Political Science Department at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. It also discusses the experience of the team in undertaking such a challenging project at undergraduate level.
